Differences between Datacenter and Residential proxies
Residential proxies are located in residential areas (houses). They are hosted by companies such as Verizon, Vodafone and Virgin generally.
They have fairly slow speeds because they are located in residential areas, which are far away from servers where the website is hosted. As a result of this the speeds will be a bit slower.
Residential proxies are not sold in x quantity, you purchase a x GB of storage to use. You then have access to generate unlimited proxies from a range of regions and cities via a dash. However once the GB consumption is over, the proxies are no longer valid. Some providers also make proxies invalid after 1 month.
Residential proxies work on all sites, however they work best on sites where datacenter proxies don’t work like Footpatrol.
Typically the pricing is around 10-15€ / GB, however this can vary from provider to provider. Some can be more expensive, I suggest you look on the Twitter success of the proxies before purchasing and double check the sites you want to run are supported by the provider.
Decent providers are Wild, Ruby, Mars, Ignify.

This is where websites such as Supreme like to host their website. This means that using Datacenter proxies is fast as it close to the location of the site.
Datacenter proxies are a lot faster than residential proxies.
They are sold in x quantity rather than x GB. They are more expensive than residential proxies, but they have unlimited bandwidth / usage. Typically 100 DCs is 150-200€.
Datacenter proxies do no not work on all sites like residential proxies. Most datacenter proxies are banned on sites where there is proxy protection such as: Shopify, Footpatrol and Supreme.
Some Datacenter proxies work on these sites, just not all providers, it is about finding the right provider.
Decent providers are Bull, Brutal, Coca, .calibre.
